Fat Beet Farm offers our interns educational and hands-on opportunities. Our interns will learn new skills in a variety of subjects around the farm, but they are welcome to choose a concentrated subject of interest. Our internships typically last 4-6 months and require 10-15 hours each week.

Fat Beet offers two internships, Concentrated and Non-Concentrated. Our Concentrated interns will be expected to decide one focus or project of their internship. These interns will gain in-depth knowledge of a specific topic or area at Fat Beet Farm. Our Non-concentrated internship is perfect for the student that “wants to learn it all;” these students will move around the farm daily and learn the basics in all of the subjects that the farm has to offer. All Fat Beet Farm interns will work closely with all of our farmers and become part of our “Fat Beet Family”.

Some areas that the interns will be able to work in are:

Microgreen Growing

Wetland Reclamation

Sustainable Gardening/Regenerative Agriculture

Chicken Tending

Rain Collection
